New York Life is going fully digital for Fixed Deferred annuities

 

Starting July 1, 2026, New York Life’s Retail Annuities business will move to 100% electronic submission for fixed deferred annuities sold through the third-party distribution channel. This update puts us squarely in line with other leading annuity carriers and supports our ongoing commitment to a digital-first, advisor-friendly experience.

Why this is good news

  • Faster cycle times: e-apps reduce back-and-forth and accelerate issue/placement.
  • Fewer errors: built-in validations help you submit clean business the first time.
  • A smoother client experience: a modern, paperless process that’s easy to explain and complete.
  • Real-time transparency: track status with our AppTracker.

 

 

What changes on July 1, 2026

  • Electronic only: We’ll accept fixed deferred annuity applications electronically across our third-party distribution channel.
  • Paper sunset: Paper applications will no longer be processed after this date (they’ll be returned with guidance and considered Not in Good Order).
